The "26th International Friction and Sealing Material Technology Exchange and Product Exhibition "（hereinafter "the CFSMA 26th Exhibition "）, organized by China Friction &Sealing Material Association（hereinafter CFSMA）, successfully closed on May 10th at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center.In this city with a rich history, vibrant energy, and diverse culture, the event once again provided comprehensive, professional, and efficient opportunities for communication and collaboration for domestic and international peers. Professionals from the friction and sealing materials industry and its upstream and downstream sectors gathered at the foot of Purple Mountain and by the Xuanwu Lake, collectively sharing innovative achievements such as new products, new processes, new materials, new equipment, and new standards. They also jointly explored new trends, models, and patterns in the industry's development.
The CFSMA Exhibition has successfully held 25 years, the 26th Exhibition hit a record high,both the exhibition area and the number of exhibitors and participants have exceeded previous levels.It fully reflects the continuous enhancement of the exhibition's professionalism, the growing influence both domestically and internationally, and the strengthening industry cohesion. The successful conclusion of the CFSMA 26th Exhibition saw participants reaping substantial benefits and receiving high acclaim and attention from peers both at home and abroad.
The CFSMA 26th Exhibition was adopting the theme of "Innovation Leads: Building a New Development Pattern." It promoted a focus on technological innovation as the core, with an orientation towards green development and intelligent manufacturing, thereby empowering the high-quality development of industry enterprises,brought the display and exchange opportunities about the products,technology and equipment,actively exploring ways to cultivate new forms of productive forces and enhance the momentum for new development.The CFSMA 26th Exhibition, commencing on May 8th and concluding on May 10th, was a meticulously organized and remarkably vibrant three-day event.
Highlight 1: A special equipment exhibition area was set up to display the innovative achievements of equipment automation and intelligent development
The exhibition this year featured a special equipment exhibition area, which provides exhibitors and visitors with a centralized platform for displaying and exchanging equipment-related businesses, facilitating showing and observing the latest innovations of automation and smart equipment. The equipment on display includes automated and intelligent pressing machinery, brake pad processing assembly lines and auxiliary equipment, etc.
The transformation of equipment from relying on foreign imports to domestic production, and then to the enhancement of automation and intelligence, coupled with a competitive edge in the international market, is a testament to the relentless efforts of equipment manufacturing enterprises. The rapid development of equipment has led to the standardization of friction product production and an improvement in quality. The special equipment exhibition area has provided a comprehensive platform for equipment companies within the industry, offering better viewing experiences and selection opportunities for friction product manufacturers.
Highlight 2: The level of internationalization continues to rise, and the number of overseas exhibitors increases
The exhibition once again attracted professionals from more than 20 countries and regions such as Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Chinese Taipei. More than 90 overseas counterparts gathered in Nanjing to carry out trade negotiations, find partners, and share technical hotspots and enterprise experience at the technical exchange meeting. 
Roy H Link, the Chairman of the SAE Brake Colloquium & Exhibition in the United States; Dr. Seong Kwan Rhee, the Chair of the AsiaBrake Conference and Exhibition Steering Committee; Mr. Wang Qingzheng, the President of Taiwan Friction Material Association; Mr. Boonyawat Teeraprawatekul, the Chairman of the AsiaBrake Conference and Exhibition; Dr. Gao Guanying, a renowned international sealing expert and a US-based Chinese scholar, expressed their felicitations through video messages, wishing the exhibition a resounding success,and highly praised the exhibition for serving as an excellent international platform for exchange and trade.
Highlight 3.The comprehensive report is forward-looking and guides the development direction of the industry
The comprehensive report meeting held on the afternoon of May 8th presented a series of insightful speeches that spanned from the national macro level down to the industrial meso level and further to the corporate micro level. These presentations, strategically focused on the direction of industry development, offered a forward-looking perspective and were delivered at various levels to provide a splendid array of insights.
Xu Changming, the Vice Director of the State Information Center, delivered a presentation titled "Current situation and development trend of automobile industry" .He introduced the market status of the automotive industry under the backdrop of globalization, and through extensive data and various dimensions, it forecasts the developmental trends of the automotive industry. It provides guidance for enterprises in the automotive supply chain's component sector on how to innovate, develop, transform, and upgrade, thereby better meeting the higher demands of the rapidly evolving automotive industry.
Tian Bin, Director of the Institute of Industrial Economy Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, P.R.C., gave a talk on "Opportunities and challenges in the new stage of high-quality development of the ‘Belt and Road’ initiative".Through a decade of remarkable achievements under the "Belt and Road" initiative, it is clear that the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" presents significant opportunities for the economic development of our country and the nations along the route. As we are at a new stage of high-quality development facing both opportunities and challenges, the question of how to fully strategize and keep pace with the times, to navigate the path of new industrialization, and to leverage the two trump cards of "design and materials"; to enhance the multidimensional expansion of international business, and to boost the new development paradigm of domestic and international dual circulation, has become a topic of profound significance that lies before us.
Wu Qingtao, the General Manager of Beijing Guojian Lianxin Certification Center Co., Ltd., presented on "Empower the development of new quality productivity in the friction & sealing material industry with green and low-carbon".His presentation deeply analyzes the development trend and status quo of green and low-carbon at home and abroad from the dimensions of green manufacturing, green products, low carbon, and water saving,and provides reference and guidance for the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the friction and seal material industry.
Liu Yihui, President of Zhuhai Glory Friction Materials Co., Ltd., gave a speech on "Reflection on the construction of a new development pattern in the friction & sealing material industry”.Through a comprehensive analysis of the current economic landscape, his presentation advocates for enterprises in the traditional manufacturing sector of friction materials to keep pace with the times, to persist in innovation-driven development, and to construct a new pattern of growth. It calls for unremitting efforts in the areas of integrated development, resource sharing, and mutual benefit for all parties. The proposal also suggests innovations and breakthroughs in concepts; the construction and exploration of new productive forces within the industry; and the philosophies and strategies for corporate survival, cooperation, and development.
Highlight 4.Focusing on the green theme, signed agreements with senior service agencies to jointly promote the high-quality green development of the industry.
The exhibition focused on the theme of green and low-carbon development, engaging in comprehensive interactions including policy interpretation, technical exchanges, and certification services.
On the afternoon of May 8th ,a signing ceremony for the Cooperation Framework Agreement on jointly promoting green, low-carbon, and high-quality development in the friction and sealing industry was held during the comprehensive report meeting between CFSMA and Beijing Guojian Lianxin Certification Center Co., Ltd.
CFSMA will collaborate with third-party certification organizations, starting with green factory assessments, to continuously establish benchmarks for green manufacturing in the industry, guiding and driving the high-quality green and low-carbon development of the sector.
Highlight 5. The expert committee of the association was established to help the association better serve the industry and enterprises
On the morning of the 8th, the inaugural meeting of the Expert Committee of CFSMA was held in the lecture hall, the honorary president of CFSMA Wang Yao, the executive president Wang Ping, Zhen Minghui, Tao Xianbo, the Secretary General Shen Bing, the Deputy Secretary General Jiang Shousong, the Senior Adviser Li Kang, Shi Yao, Gao Guanying, Yang Bin, Ren Junfeng and 25 expert members attended the meeting, which was presided over by Mr. Wang Yao. At the meeting, Secretary General Shen Bing announced the formal establishment of the Expert Committee of the 8th Council of CFSMA,and announced the list of the expert committee members. The leaders of CFSMA presented certificates to the senior advisors and members.
The establishment of the Expert Committee of the 8th Council is a crucial support for the association in developing group standards and evaluating green factories in the friction and sealing materials industry. It is a significant safeguard for the association to lead the industry with technological innovation as the driving force, promoting green, low-carbon, intelligent, and high-quality development. Honorary President Wang Yao pointed out in his concluding speech that the formation of the 8th Council Expert Committee is an important initiative by the association to gather experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs within the industry, providing professional technical guidance and intellectual support to promote the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.It is hoped that all committee members will actively contribute ideas and suggestions, offering valuable insights to foster and establish new productive forces within the industry. By doing so, they will contribute their strength to the great rejuvenation of the friction and sealing materials industry.
Highlight 6: The technical exchange is rich in content
The Friction and Sealing Materials Technology Exchange Conference, held from May 9th to 10th, focused on the new developments in upstream and downstream industries, the current status and innovative trends of technology within the sector, the "keeping pace with the times" application of materials, and the sharing of experiences in innovative and high-quality enterprise development. The exchange was rich in content.
Friction material technical session:The friction material technical session on the morning of the 9th was presided over by Zhen Minghui, vice president of Shandong Gold Phoenix Co., Ltd., Professor Georg Ostermeyer of TU Braunschweig Germany, was unable to attend the scene, but specially recorded a video speech for this technical session, and his report was entitled "Analyzing brake measurement data with data science";Yewei Fu,Professor of Northwestern Polytechnical University,presented on”Research progress on the development and application of long-life carbon paper-based friction materials”;Cailiu Yin,Professor of Institute of Friction Materials,Guangxi Minzu University,presented on “Research on the preparation technology and properties of synthetic friction materials for matching aluminum-based brake discs”;Yunhai Ma,Professor of Jilin University,presented on “Resin-based brake friction material mechanical and tribological behavior based on microcrack filling technology”;Hanhui Yi,Deputy Technical Director of Zhuhai Glory Friction Material Co., Ltd.,presented on “Research on rust adhesion of friction materials”.

Highlight 7.The scale has reached new heights, boasting an exuberant attendance.

The display products cover all kinds of friction materials, brake and transmission products, all kinds of sealing materials, various raw materials used in the production of friction sealing materials, various fiber materials, chemical products, equipment, testing instruments and other related products and other upstream and downstream fields of the whole industry chain, providing a one-stop comprehensive service platform for trade negotiation and procurement for domestic and foreign enterprises and professionals. The equipment exhibition area showcases automation and intelligent equipment with independent intellectual property rights. The indoor booths feature the latest technologies in brake pads, seals, and various raw and auxiliary materials. The foreign exhibitor booths are bustling with activity, as trade negotiations thrive. The standard booths are neatly arranged, displaying a dazzling array of merchandise.
Highlight 8.The Online exhibition was carried out synchronously，expanded interactive channels.
The online exhibition was launched on April 29th, with all offline exhibitors making their appearance in the virtual event. The content, including exhibition introduction, schedule arrangement, exhibitor recommendations, and interactive zones, was equally splendid as the offline event. Visitors could easily browse the exhibition and participate in interactions through the cloud by logging onto zh.cfsma.org.cn.
The online exhibition has transcended the limitations of time and space, enabling domestic and international professionals who were unable to attend the offline event to gain a clear overview of the exhibition. This has significantly increased the exposure opportunities for exhibitors, enhanced the effectiveness of their displays, and expanded the channels for interaction. During the duration of this online exhibition, over 5,500 people accessed the platform to view the exhibits, fully establishing it as a comprehensive service platform for exhibition exchanges.
The three-day CFSMA 26th Exhibition has concluded successfully.
