China Friction & Sealing Material Association(CFSMA in brief) was founded in 1986 in Beijing,registered in the Ministry of Civil affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
CFSMA is a self-discipline and non-profit social organization formed based on the principle of equality and voluntary,it is consisting of enterprises and institutions as well as individual members engaged in friction & sealing materials manufacturing, research, trade, testing, certification, and other related fields such as raw and auxiliary material and equipment.
Currently CFSMA has more than 400 members,composed of various enterprises and experts. We also keep close contact with foreign enterprises and experts in friction & sealing materials field,as well as international organizations in the same industry.
The main products in this field are friction and sealing materials which are indispensable supporting materials used in automobile, train, aircraft, machine, oil, metallurgy, spaceflight and building materials industries. Among them, the automotive brake lining products are subject to China Compulsory Certification (CCC certification) management.
Purpose of CFSMA：
According to the relevant national policies and regulations, formulate industry rules and regulations,put forward suggestions to promote industry development.Serve the development of the industry, safeguard the legitimate rights of members, play a role as a bridge and link between the government and enterprises, assist the government to jointly maintain the order of fair competition in the market, play a leading, coordinating and serving role, and promote the high-quality development of the industry.
Scope of Work:
1. Implement the relevant guidelines and policies of the state,research and propose the development plan/technical and economic indicators of the industry,for the reference of relevant government departments;
2. Reflect the voice of the industry and put forward the industrial demands, and strive for the support and help of government departments;
3. Participate in the formulation and revision of industry standards and in the quality management of friction materials/sealing materials and products;
4. Establish an industry self-discipline mechanism, formulate industry rules and regulations, standardize the industry's self-management behavior, assist the government in coordinating economic disputes,industry product prices, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises;
5. Strengthen contacts and exchanges with relevant foreign industry organization and enterprises,carry out international exchange and cooperation in technology,economy and other fields.Help members to carry out import and export trade, foreign technology and equipment introduction.Organize domestic and foreign exhibitions to help with our members’ market development;
6. Organize the identification and promotion of new products,new materials,new technologies and new equipment;
7. Carry out technical consultation,technology transfer and technical service. According to the needs of members,invite relevant experts to guide and help them in their operation and production management;
8. Coordinate the relationship between horizontal alliance inside and outside the industry,including technical cooperation, production and marketing convergence,etc.
9. Collecting, collating and disseminating technical and economic intelligence and information at home and abroad, editing and publishing journals and other professional journals in accordance with relevant regulations, building and managing the official website;
10. Organize training for managers and technicians.
